As Project Coordinator, Zach’s focus at CHJT is twofold. He oversees our team of AmeriCorps VISTA members who build capacity at state agencies and community organizations serving RI’s justice-involved population. He also coordinates programming for CHJT’s Social Medicine Institute.
Zach holds a B.A. in Spanish from Fairfield University and has worked in the nonprofit sector for over a decade to address gaps in services for marginalized indigenous communities in the United States and Mexico. Throughout his career, he has witnessed how the justice system disproportionately harms people of color in this country. Since moving to Rhode Island in 2021, Zach has enjoyed exploring all of Providence’s amazing eateries. You can often find him on the weekends walking his dog on the East Bay Bike Path.
